                               RESOLUTION NO. 20840
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
                  PROPERTY LOCATED AT 314 SOUTH HOWELL FROM J.W.
                  AND SANDRA J. MURRAY FOR A TOTAL CONSIDERATION
                  OF FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($52,000.00),
                  RELATIVE TO THE CORRECTION OF FLOODING PROBLEMS
                  IN THE NORTH TERRACE AREA OF BRAINERD.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       purchase of property located at 314 South Howell from J. W. and
       Sandra J. Murray for a total consideration of $52,000.00, said
       property to be used as a detention area in order to correct the
       flooding problem in the North Terrace Area of Brainerd.
